Crawford & Company increased its quarterly dividend to $0.08 per share, extending its dividend-growth streak to three consecutive years.

CRD-ACRD-A Crawford & Company

Crawford & Company (NYSE: CRD-A) raised its quarterly dividend to $0.08 per share from $0.075, an increase of 6.67%. The shares trade ex-dividend on Aug. 14, 2026.

The new distribution equates to an annual dividend of $0.32 per share. Based on a share price of $12.35, the forward annual yield is 2.59%.

The increase extends Crawford’s dividend-growth streak to three consecutive years. That record follows a dividend cut in 2020, giving investors an important reference point when assessing the company’s distribution history. Crawford has a dividend safety score of 66 out of 100, corresponding to a B grade.

Crawford announced the higher payout alongside its second-quarter results. The claims-management company reported stronger earnings despite a slight decline in revenue before reimbursements. Management attributed the earnings improvement primarily to International Operations and Broadspire, while the U.S. property-and-casualty business continued to face lower weather-related claims and reduced catastrophe-services activity. International results benefited from improved performance in Australia and Canada, according to the company’s earnings release.

The company did not expressly identify a single reason for the dividend increase. However, the decision came as operating cash flow improved from the comparable prior-year period and management described the balance sheet and liquidity position as strong. Those conditions provide context for the board’s decision, though they do not guarantee future distributions.

Crawford provides claims management and outsourcing services to insurers, brokers and corporate clients. Its operations include the Crawford, Broadspire and Contractor Connection brands, with a client base spanning multinational carriers, large corporations and local insurance firms, according to the company’s corporate overview.

What it means for income investors

The higher rate modestly increases the cash income attached to each CRD-A share and establishes a new annualized dividend of $0.32. The three-year growth streak signals renewed dividend progression after the 2020 reduction, while the 2.59% forward yield provides a current measure of the stock’s income profile. Investors tracking dividend dependability may also weigh the B safety grade against the company’s exposure to variable claims activity and catastrophe-related demand.
