What we do
We maintain structured data on thousands of dividend-paying stocks, ETFs and funds — yields, payout ratios, growth streaks, full dividend histories and forward ex-dividend dates — refreshed every day. On top of that data we build tools and research:
- Stock profiles with yield, payout coverage, safety and history for every payer we track.
- A dividend screener, ex-dividend calendar, and income/DRIP calculators.
- A dividend newsroom covering every material dividend increase, cut, initiation and special — each story tied to the underlying data.
Our Dividend Safety Score
At the core of our research is a proprietary Dividend Safety Score — a 0–100 estimate of how secure a company's dividend is. Unlike opinion-based ratings, ours is built from a cut-risk model whose weights were fit by backtesting which dividends were actually cut over 15+ years (validated at 0.78 AUC), then blended with current payout, cash-flow and balance-sheet measures. It powers our safety grades, comparisons and verdicts.
How our data and news are produced
Our market data is collected automatically from public sources and refreshed daily. Our news coverage is generated from confirmed dividend events in that dataset, with figures drawn directly from the data (never estimated), context researched from primary sources such as company investor-relations releases and filings, and produced under the standards described in our editorial policy.
