Artisan Partners Raises Quarterly Dividend to $0.80
Artisan Partners increased its quarterly dividend by 3.9%, with the shares trading ex-dividend on Aug. 17, 2026.
APAM — Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc.
Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc. (NYSE: APAM) raised its quarterly dividend to $0.80 per share from $0.77, an increase of 3.9%. The ex-dividend date was Aug. 17, 2026.
The financial-services company’s annual dividend per share is $3.46. At a share price of $43.64, its forward annual yield is 8.05%.
The increase accompanied Artisan Partners’ second-quarter results. The company describes its quarterly dividend as variable and links the amount to cash generated by the business. Consequently, the distribution can rise or fall with operating results, available cash and capital requirements rather than following a steadily increasing schedule. Future declarations remain subject to board approval, according to the company’s annual report filed with the SEC.
Artisan Partners operates through subsidiaries of Artisan Partners Holdings and offers investment strategies across multiple asset classes. Its revenue base is influenced by assets under management, investment performance and client flows. The company reported preliminary assets under management of $183.0 billion at the end of July, according to its investor-relations site.
Management said alongside the second-quarter results that long-term investment performance remained strong and that its credit strategies continued to attract net inflows. Those business trends provide context for the quarter’s cash generation and variable distribution, although the company did not characterize the dividend increase as the start of a fixed growth program. The results and dividend declaration were included in a July 2026 SEC filing.
What it means for income investors
The higher payment increases quarterly cash income by $0.03 per share compared with the previous rate. However, Artisan Partners has no active consecutive annual dividend-growth streak and previously reduced its dividend in 2022. The current dividend safety score is 56 out of 100, corresponding to a C grade.
Those measures underscore the distinction between a high indicated yield and a predictable dividend-growth record. Because Artisan Partners follows a variable payout approach, income investors may see distributions change with cash generation and board decisions. The latest increase improves near-term income, but it does not establish that the $0.80 quarterly rate will remain constant or continue rising.
