CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CF) raised its quarterly dividend by 20% to $0.60 per share from $0.50, with shares trading ex-dividend on Aug. 14, 2026.

The board announced the increase in July. CF Industries did not provide a specific reason for the decision in its dividend declaration, which also confirmed that the company would release its second-quarter results in August. CF Industries’ dividend announcement

Operating backdrop

CF Industries is a global producer of hydrogen and nitrogen products, including ammonia and nitrogen fertilizers. In its subsequent first-half report, the company said stronger selling prices reflected a tight global nitrogen supply-demand balance that was further constrained by disruptions linked to the conflict with Iran.

Management also reported strong cash generation and said it expected the business to continue producing substantial free cash flow, supporting investment and shareholder returns through repurchases and the higher quarterly dividend. That statement provides context for the increase, although the company did not directly tie the board’s decision to a single financial or market factor. CF Industries’ first-half 2026 results

The fertilizer business remains sensitive to commodity prices, global supply disruptions and natural-gas costs. CF Industries has said natural gas is both the principal raw material and primary fuel used in ammonia production, making energy availability and pricing important influences on industry economics. What it means for income investors

The increase lifts quarterly cash income by $0.10 per share and annualized income by $0.40 per share relative to the previous rate. The company has no recorded consecutive annual dividend-growth streak in the locked data, so the action represents a higher current payout rather than an extension of an established growth run.

CF Industries carries a dividend safety score of 95 out of 100, corresponding to an A grade. For income-focused shareholders, the principal measurable effects are the higher $2.40 annualized payout and the 1.85% forward yield; future payments remain subject to board approval and the company’s operating conditions.
