HF Sinclair Raises Quarterly Dividend 5% to $0.525

HF Sinclair Corporation (NYSE: DINO) increased its quarterly dividend by 5% to $0.525 per share from $0.50, with an ex-dividend date of Aug. 11, 2026.

The new rate equates to an annual dividend of $2.10 per share. Based on the stated share price of $95.18, the forward annual yield is 2.16%.

The increase was announced alongside HF Sinclair’s second-quarter results. The company reported stronger earnings and cash generation and said it returned $265 million to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases during the quarter. Chief Executive Franklin Myers said the higher dividend demonstrated the company’s “continued commitment to return capital to shareholders.” HF Sinclair’s second-quarter earnings release

HF Sinclair operates across refining, marketing, midstream, renewable diesel, and lubricants and specialty products. Its mix of businesses gives it exposure to both refining conditions and more specialized energy markets, although earnings and cash flow can still vary with commodity prices, margins and operating performance. The dividend action also came as HF Sinclair outlined a broader strategic transformation. The company plans to pursue a separation of its Lubricants & Specialties segment into an independent publicly traded business and retire base-oil refining assets in Mississauga, Ontario, with the transition expected to be substantially completed during 2027. Management said the separation is intended to give the lubricants business greater financial flexibility and more consistent free cash flow. HF Sinclair’s strategic-transformation announcement

What it means for income investors

The increase raises quarterly income by $0.025 per share and annualized income by $0.10 per share compared with the previous rate. However, the supplied dividend record lists zero consecutive growth years and notes that the dividend was previously cut in 2015, so the action does not represent an established annual growth streak.

HF Sinclair carries a dividend safety score of 73 out of 100, corresponding to a B grade. That assessment suggests comparatively solid coverage under the scoring methodology, but it does not guarantee future payments; dividends remain subject to board approval and the company’s financial performance.
