HWM — Howmet Aerospace Inc.
Howmet Aerospace Inc. (NYSE: HWM) raised its quarterly dividend to $0.14 per share from $0.12, an increase of 16.67%. The shares traded ex-dividend on Aug. 7, 2026.
The new rate equates to an annualized dividend of $0.56 per share. Based on a share price of $271.68, the forward annual yield is 0.21%.
The increase extends Howmet’s dividend-growth streak to three consecutive years. That recent record follows a dividend cut in 2019, making the current run relatively short compared with long-established dividend growers.
Strong aerospace demand provides context
The board’s action came alongside continued growth in Howmet’s aerospace and industrial markets. The Pittsburgh-based company makes engine components, fastening systems, airframe structures and forged wheels for customers in commercial aerospace, defense, gas turbines and transportation.
Howmet reported that second-quarter revenue increased 24% from a year earlier, including organic growth of 21%. Management attributed the performance to growth in commercial aerospace, defense aerospace and gas turbines. The company also raised its full-year 2026 guidance and reported strong cash generation for the quarter, providing broader financial context for the higher shareholder distribution. Howmet Aerospace’s second-quarter results
The company’s regulatory filing describes a product portfolio built around nickel, titanium, aluminum and cobalt components used across aerospace, commercial transportation and gas-turbine markets. That exposure links Howmet’s operating results closely to aircraft production, aftermarket demand and industrial turbine activity. Howmet Aerospace’s second-quarter Form 10-Q
Howmet also continued returning capital through share repurchases during the second quarter and July, according to its earnings release. Buybacks and dividends are separate uses of capital, but together they show that shareholder distributions remained part of management’s capital-allocation program while the company invested in its operations and completed an acquisition.
What it means for income investors
The higher payment increases the annualized dividend income attached to each share, while the 0.21% forward yield remains modest because of the current share price. Howmet carries a dividend-safety score of 63 out of 100, corresponding to a C grade. For income-focused shareholders, the event is therefore more notable for the continuation of dividend growth than for a high current yield.
