Levi Strauss & Co. (NYSE: LEVI) raised its quarterly dividend to $0.16 per share from $0.14, an increase of 14.29%. The move brings the annualized dividend to $0.64 per share and extends the apparel company’s dividend-growth streak to four consecutive years.

The shares have an ex-dividend date of July 22, 2026. Based on a share price of $21.72, the new annualized payout represents a forward yield of 2.98%.

Business momentum supports the backdrop

The increase follows a period of improving operating performance. Levi Strauss reported that second-quarter net revenue rose as demand strengthened across its direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels. Store performance, retail expansion and higher e-commerce revenue helped drive direct-to-consumer growth, while the wholesale business benefited from higher volumes, particularly in Levi’s women’s products. The company also ended the quarter with substantial cash and liquidity resources, according to its second-quarter results.

Levi Strauss also raised its annual sales outlook as demand for denim and casual apparel remained resilient despite wider uncertainty around consumer spending. Baggy and loose-fitting products have been especially popular with younger customers, while the company’s expansion into dresses, skirts and tops has broadened its assortment beyond traditional denim, Reuters reported.

The company did not explicitly attribute the dividend increase to any single operating factor. Its regulatory filing says Levi Strauss has no established dividend policy and that the board evaluates dividends using its financial condition, operating results, capital needs, projected cash flows and debt-related restrictions. That framework means future payments remain subject to board discretion, according to the company’s quarterly filing.

What it means for income investors

The higher rate increases expected annual dividend income by $0.08 per share compared with the previous quarterly pace. The 2.98% forward yield provides a measurable income component, while the four-year growth record indicates recent consistency rather than a long-established multi-decade streak.

Levi Strauss carries a dividend safety score of 75 out of 100, equivalent to a B grade. Income investors should also recognize that the company operates in the consumer-cyclical sector, where demand, margins and cash generation can fluctuate with fashion trends and household spending.
