The Toronto-Dominion Bank Raises Quarterly Dividend 1.41%
Toronto-Dominion Bank increased its quarterly dividend to $0.791 per share, giving the stock a 2.73% forward annual yield.
TD — The Toronto-Dominion Bank
The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) increased its quarterly dividend to $0.791 per share from $0.78, a 1.41% rise. The shares traded ex-dividend on July 10, 2026.
Based on a share price of $116.55, TD carries a forward annual dividend yield of 2.73%. Its listed annual dividend is $3.20 per share.
The increase comes as the financial-services company adjusts its capital-return framework. TD said in its latest annual report that it had moved from an annual dividend review to a semiannual review cycle to better align shareholder returns with earnings growth. Management also described the bank as well capitalized while emphasizing that remediation of its U.S. anti-money-laundering controls remained a top priority. TD’s chief executive message
TD operates across Canadian and U.S. banking, wealth management, insurance and wholesale banking. The company’s investor materials describe it as one of North America’s largest banks by assets, with shares listed in both Toronto and New York. TD dividend information
More recently, TD reported continued progress on its U.S. compliance overhaul but cautioned that significant work and important milestones remain. Its remediation program includes upgrades to customer-risk assessment, transaction monitoring, employee training and financial-crime data systems. TD second-quarter results
The locked dividend record shows no current consecutive annual growth streak and identifies 2015 as the year of a previous cut. That history makes the latest action an incremental increase rather than an extension of a long, uninterrupted annual-growth record. The dividend carries a safety score of 61 out of 100 and a grade of C.
What it means for income investors
The higher quarterly rate modestly increases the cash income attached to each share. Because July 10 was the ex-dividend date, investors who purchased the stock on or after that date were not eligible for the associated distribution. The 2.73% forward yield provides a standardized measure for comparing TD’s prospective income with other dividend-paying companies, while the safety grade and lack of an active annual-growth streak provide additional context on consistency.
