PNC Financial Raises Quarterly Dividend 17.65% to $2
PNC lifted its quarterly dividend to $2 per share, extending its growth streak to 15 consecutive years and providing a 3.29% forward yield.
PNC — The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc.
The PNC Financial Services Group increased its quarterly dividend to $2 per share from $1.70, a 17.65% rise. The shares traded ex-dividend on July 20, 2026.
The new distribution equates to an annual dividend of $8 per share. Based on a share price of $243.13, the stock carries a forward annual yield of 3.29%.
The increase extends PNC’s dividend-growth streak to 15 consecutive years. The Pittsburgh-based financial-services company previously reduced its payout in 2009.
PNC Chairman and Chief Executive William Demchak attributed the higher dividend to the company’s financial strength, the board’s confidence in its strategy and outlook, and the successful integration of FirstBank. PNC completed the conversion of FirstBank customers, employees, systems and branches during the second quarter.
The dividend decision accompanied a quarter in which PNC reported record revenue, net interest income and fee income. Management also said the bank maintained a strong capital position and benefited from a full quarter of FirstBank’s operations. Those factors provide operating context for the board’s decision, though future dividends remain subject to board approval and business and regulatory conditions.
PNC is a diversified U.S. financial institution offering retail and business banking, corporate banking, real-estate finance, wealth management and asset-management services. The company described the dividend increase as reflecting its financial position and the completed FirstBank integration.
What it means for income investors
For shareholders, the increase raises expected annual cash income by $1.20 per share compared with the previous quarterly rate, assuming four equal payments. PNC’s dividend safety score is 85 out of 100, corresponding to an A grade, while the 15-year growth streak indicates that the bank has consistently raised its distribution since the reduction recorded in 2009.
The 3.29% forward yield is a snapshot based on the stated share price and will change as PNC’s market price moves. It does not guarantee future payments or dividend growth.
