Triple Flag Precious Metals Corp. (NYSE and TSX: TFPM) increased its quarterly dividend to $0.06 per share from $0.058, a 3.45% rise. The shares traded ex-dividend on Aug. 31, 2026.

The new rate equates to an annual dividend of $0.24 per share. At a share price of $33.70, that represents a forward annual yield of 0.71%. The increase extends Triple Flag’s dividend-growth record to three consecutive years.

Triple Flag did not attribute the increase to a single operational development. The company’s board retains discretion over dividend declarations and considers factors including cash requirements and future prospects, according to its dividend information page.

Business backdrop

Triple Flag provides exposure to precious metals through streaming and royalty agreements rather than operating mines directly. Its portfolio comprises interests in producing, development and exploration-stage properties, primarily across the Americas and Australia. The model gives the company a contractual share of production or revenue while limiting its direct exposure to mine-level operating and capital costs.

Recent portfolio activity has broadened that exposure. In June, Triple Flag completed the acquisition of a gold stream on the producing Ravenswood mine in Queensland, Australia. Management described Ravenswood as a key growth asset and said initial deliveries under the stream were expected to begin in the third quarter of 2026. The transaction also expanded the company’s portfolio to 242 assets, including 36 producing mines, according to the company’s SEC-filed announcement.

Triple Flag also reached a settlement with Steppe Gold covering overdue stream and prepayment obligations. The agreement provided for the delivery of amounts in arrears and established a schedule of future gold deliveries, while the company raised its 2026 gold-equivalent-ounce guidance. Chief Executive Sheldon Vanderkooy cited strong year-to-date operating performance, including record first-quarter gold-equivalent ounces and operating cash flow per share, in the June announcement.

What it means for income investors

The increase provides a modest lift in quarterly income while preserving Triple Flag’s relatively low yield. The dividend carries a safety score of 80 out of 100 and an A safety grade. As with any dividend, future payments remain subject to board approval and the company’s cash needs, outlook and other relevant considerations.
