First Community Bankshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCBC) raised its quarterly dividend to $0.33 per share from $0.31, an increase of 6.45%. The shares traded ex-dividend on Aug. 7, 2026.

The increase extends the financial-services company’s dividend-growth streak to 14 consecutive years. FCBC previously reduced its dividend in 2009, making the current run notable for its duration across changing interest-rate and credit cycles.

The higher payout accompanied what the Bluefield, Virginia-based company described as record second-quarter results. First Community said earnings benefited primarily from a larger average balance of interest-earning assets and lower funding-cost yields, two factors that can support profitability at a regional bank. First Community operates through First Community Bank, a Virginia-chartered institution offering retail and commercial banking services. Its activities include deposit gathering, lending and wealth management across Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee. The company funds its lending and investment operations primarily through retail deposits collected by its branch network, supplemented by other wholesale funding sources. The bank’s footprint expanded with its acquisition of Hometown Bancshares, the parent of Union Bank. The transaction added branches and broadened First Community’s regional deposit and lending base, providing additional context for the reported increase in interest-earning assets.
