S&T Bancorp Raises Quarterly Dividend 2.78%
S&T Bancorp increased its quarterly dividend to $0.37 per share, extending its dividend-growth streak to 16 consecutive years.

The new rate equates to an annual dividend of $1.48 per share. Based on a share price of $50.17, the stock has a forward annual yield of 2.95%.
The increase extends S&T Bancorp’s record of annual dividend growth to 16 consecutive years. The Pennsylvania-based financial-services company previously reduced its dividend in 2009.
Earnings provide context
S&T Bancorp did not identify a specific reason for the dividend increase in its announcement. The company’s latest results, however, showed improved earnings and continued capital strength heading into the board’s decision.
First-quarter net income rose to $35.1 million from $33.4 million a year earlier, while diluted earnings per share increased to $0.94 from $0.87. Total deposits increased by $226.4 million during the quarter, although portfolio loans declined by $112.6 million. Net charge-offs also fell from the preceding quarter.
