Farmers National Banc Corp. (NASDAQ: FMNB) raised its quarterly dividend to $0.18 per share from $0.17, an increase of 5.88%. The shares traded ex-dividend on Sept. 11, 2026.

The new rate equates to an annualized dividend of $0.72 per share, assuming the quarterly payment remains unchanged. At the reference share price of $15.56, that represents a forward annual yield of 4.63%.

A larger bank following Middlefield deal

The increase comes during a year of significant expansion for the Canfield, Ohio-based financial-services company. Farmers National completed its acquisition of Middlefield Banc Corp. on March 2, combining Middlefield Bank with Farmers National Bank. Management described it as the company’s seventh bank acquisition in a decade. The transaction expanded a banking operation serving markets across Ohio and Pennsylvania. Farmers National subsequently reported second-quarter net income of $23.0 million, or $0.39 per diluted share. The company said that quarter included $1.7 million of acquisition and core-conversion costs. Its net interest margin rose to 3.44%, while nonperforming loans declined during the period. Earlier in the year, management said its priorities included integrating Middlefield and completing a core-technology conversion. The acquisition added $1.82 billion in assets at closing, according to Farmers National’s first-quarter report. First-quarter 2026 results

The dividend increase follows a previous quarterly rate of $0.17. Farmers National does not currently have a consecutive annual dividend-growth streak under the supplied data, and its last recorded cut occurred in 2010. SmarterDividends assigns the payout a safety score of 84 out of 100, corresponding to an A grade; that assessment is a risk indicator rather than a guarantee of future payments.

What it means for income investors

The higher rate increases quarterly cash income per share for eligible holders. Because the stock’s ex-dividend date was Sept. 11, eligibility for this distribution has already been determined. The stated 4.63% forward yield is based on the $15.56 reference price and will move as the share price changes. Future dividends remain subject to board approval and the company’s financial condition.
